
After the Players Championship 2026, the PGA Tour players are now heading to play at the Valspar Championship. It is a regular PGA Tour event featuring a full-size field. This week’s event features some top-ranked golfers such as Viktor Hovland, Keegan Bradley, Xander Schauffele, and many others.
However, some big names such as Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are missing from the field. Below are the top five golfers who are missing from the field of the Valspar Championship.

#1 Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy is one of the big names missing from the field of the Valspar Championship. The Northern Irish golfer played at the Players Championship last week but had a tough time on the field. He settled in T46 place, but earlier this season, he was the runner-up at The Genesis Invitational.
#2 Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler is another big name missing from the field of the Valspar Championship. He started his campaign on the PGA Tour with a marvellous win at The American Express and then settled in tied for third place at the WM Phoenix Open. He recorded a T4 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, followed by a T12 at The Genesis Invitational.
#3 Keith Mitchell

Keith Mitchell was initially scheduled to play at the Valspar Championship. However, the American golfer withdrew from the event ahead of the start. He was replaced by Doug Ghim. He had last competed at the Players Championship and started the game with an opening round of 72. He then carded 68, followed by the final two rounds of 72 and 76, to settle in a tie for 46th place. Earlier in the season, Mitchell tied for 11th place at The Farmers Insurance Open and T6 at the Cognizant Classic.
#4 Robert MacIntyre

Robert MacIntyre also withdrew from the Valspar Championship. He was replaced by Andrew Putnam in the field. The Scottish golfer kicked off his outing with a T4 finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He then had some decent finishes, such as T20 at The Genesis Invitational and T24 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. In his last outing at the Players Championship, he settled in solo fourth place.
#5 Sudarshan Yellamaraju

Sudarshan Yellamaraju made the headlines last week for his impressive outing at the Players Championship. The Canadian golfer carded four rounds of 73, 72, 66, and 68 to settle in a tie for fifth place. However, after his decent outing, he will miss this week’s event. He had also withdrawn from the Valspar Championship and was replaced by Kris Ventura in the field.
