George Kittle claims mom Jan and MIL Shelley bullied Taylor Swift

george Kittle talked about the special performance of Taylor Swift at Tight End University 2025. The American star surprised people with her performance at last year’s event.

This week, Kittle appeared on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast, in which he opened up about Swift’s performance. He also said that his mother, Jan, and his mother-in-law, Shelley, had asked Swift to sing at the event.

“I mean, but so, like, this thing last year when Travis told me that Taylor was coming, like, to Tight End U, I was like, ‘That’s sick. If she wants to go to anything, here are the events that we have planned.’ And she showed up to everything,” Kittle said (Time: 2:04:51].

“And then the only reason that she sang was because my mom and Claire’s mom were like, ‘You should totally sing,’ and, like, kind of bullied her into doing it. No one bullies Taylor Swift—I’m kidding. But then, because Taylor did it, we got Luke Combs to do it,” he added.

The Tight End University event was founded by George Kittle, along with Taylor Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen. Swift had not initially planned any performance at the event, but it was a last-minute call.

She performed her popular “Shake It Off” song and had a great time with the NFL tight ends. A video of her singing with Kittle on the “Love Story” song also went viral last year

George Kittle’s wife, Claire, shares her take on Taylor Swift’s surprise TEU 2025 appearance

George Kittle’s wife, Claire, talked about Taylor Swift’s appearance at the Tight End University 2025 event on the “WAG Talk” podcast on Saturday. Claire praised Swift’s presence at the event and how it made it more special for them.

“Oh my gosh,” she said. “First of all, Tight End University is so cool because George just, like, dreamt this up, and it happened so organically and naturally.

“To have partners like Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce do it is so fun. Those boys have really changed the position of tight end for the NFL and for younger generations, and I’m just so proud of them. I mean, having Taylor Swift perform last year — like, how do you beat that?”

Tight End University was started in 2021, and it usually takes place in the summer. It will be interesting to see if Swift will again attend in 2026.

Last year, the American singer got engaged to Kelce, and the couple is reportedly planning their wedding in the offseason.
