Neil Young has been vocal in his dislike of billionaire mogul Elon Musk and has now used the hit song ‘This Land Is Your Land’ to take aim at the Tesla CEO once again.

At the charity concert on April 26th, he performed the new song ‘Let’s Roll Again’, a new version of the classic ‘This Land Is Your Land’. New lyrics included: “Build something special, that people need / Build us a safe way for us to live / Build us something that won’t kill our kids / Build us something that runs real clean / Come on America, let’s get in the race.”

He then sang, “If you’re a fascist, get a Tesla,” juxtaposed with “If you’re a Democrat, taste your freedom,” referencing his own political stance.

At the event aimed to raise money for Autism Speaks, he also sang his classic song ‘Ordinary People’, which he hadn’t sung live in 36 years. Elsewhere in his set at the charity concert, Young was joined on stage by former bandmate Stephen Stills, who performed the tunes ‘Human Highway’ and ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ with him.

Young is no stranger to lashing out at Musk. In 2023, he wrote on his website: “We are stopping all use of X we can control. For reasons that should be obvious to the richest man on Earth, we are taking this action against his company.”

Young has also recently been outspoken on a range of political issues, blasting US President Donald Trump’s plans for his native Canada and writing an open letter in support of his native country’s Prime Minister, Mark Carney, saying, “You are the person our country needs.”

The singer-songwriter also recently performed at Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Fighting Oligarchy rally, alongside Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers.
