People have been left in shock after Elon Musk posted his full drug testing report to his 221 million followers.

The age of oversharing might have reached its peak as the billionaire gave the public a detailed insight into his drug test results.

Musk took to his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to share the information, which he captioned with ‘lol’.

According to the report, the billionaire tested negative for a variety of drugs including cocaine and ketamine.

This appears to be an attempt to squash rumors that the Tesla boss is a drug user after a report by the New York Times including allegations that Musk had used recreational and medicinal drugs while on the campaign trail with President Donald Trump.

Elon Musk reveals drug test results after ketamine use claims

The president was quizzed last Monday (June 9) about the possibility of Musk bringing drugs into the White House.

Talking to reporters, Trump replied: “I really don’t know. I don’t think so, I hope not.”

Many people took to X to share their own reactions to Musk’s drug results, with one user writing: “You doxxed your medicals.”

Another said: “It’s the only way to shut the haters up.”

A third joked: “48 hrs clean.”

And a fourth person added: “This only verifies that you haven’t taken drugs in the past few weeks. How about a hair follicle test results to see that you’re clean 6-12 months?”

Both Trump and Musk were asked about the drug rumors during a press briefing on Musk’s last day in government as an unelected official.

However, the SpaceX founder was reluctant to comment, simply saying: “Let’s move on.”

Since then, Musk has found himself embroiled in a public spat with the president after the pair clashed over Trump’s new spending bill.

Musk described the bill as a ‘disgusting abomination’, also warning that Trump’s tariffs could ‘cause a recession in the second half of this year’.

In a post on his own social media platform, Truth Social, Trump threatened to cancel Musk’s contracts with the government.

After Musk walked back on some of the comments he made about the president, it seems things have now cooled off between the two.

When asked about Musk, Trump said that he’d had a ‘good relationship’ with him prior to their fall out, adding: “I just wish him well. Very well actually.”

He also confirmed that he won’t be canceling Musk’s Starlink internet service, saying: “I don’t think we’ll be doing that with Starlink, it’s a good service.”

In an era where privacy seems increasingly optional for public figures, Elon Musk has once again grabbed headlines—this time by posting his full drug testing report to his 221 million followers on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. The move, which Musk cheekily captioned “lol,” comes on the heels of mounting speculation about his alleged drug use, fueled by a recent New York Times report that included claims of recreational and medicinal drug consumption during campaign events with former President Donald Trump.

Musk’s drug test, according to the shared report, came back negative for a range of substances, including cocaine and ketamine. The billionaire’s decision to make his medical information public appears to be a direct response to persistent rumors and allegations, some of which had even reached the White House. Last week, President Trump faced questions from reporters about whether Musk had ever brought drugs into the presidential residence. “I really don’t know. I don’t think so, I hope not,” Trump replied, adding fuel to the already blazing speculation.

Reactions to Musk’s post were swift and divided. While some users praised his transparency—one writing, “It’s the only way to shut the haters up”—others questioned the completeness of the test, suggesting a hair follicle analysis would provide a longer-term view of drug use. “This only verifies that you haven’t taken drugs in the past few weeks. How about a hair follicle test results to see that you’re clean 6-12 months?” another user commented. The post quickly went viral, with thousands weighing in on the implications for both Musk’s personal reputation and his business interests.

Elon Musk Shares Negative Drug Test After Bombshell Report About Substance Use

The timing of Musk’s disclosure is notable, coming amid a public spat with Trump over a controversial new spending bill. Musk labeled the bill a “disgusting abomination” and warned that Trump’s proposed tariffs could trigger a recession in the latter half of the year. Trump, in turn, threatened via Truth Social to cancel Musk’s government contracts, before later softening his stance, stating he had a “good relationship” with Musk and no plans to cut off Starlink’s government service.

Observers note that Musk’s unprecedented openness may set a new standard for transparency among high-profile business leaders, or it could simply mark another chapter in the ongoing saga of celebrity oversharing. Either way, the billionaire’s latest move has reignited debates about privacy, accountability, and the intersection of business and politics in America’s digital age.
