Wet weather will cool us and add some local flooding in the forecast
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-Over the coming days, we’ll be seeing some brief but intense weather conditions. The forecast calls for periods of heavy rainfall, with occasional lightning and possible local flash flooding. So, if you’re heading out, be prepared for those sudden downpours.
Now, temperatures are going to be much cooler thanks to a cool front moving through. That means slightly cooler air, more cloud cover, and of course, that rain.
Daytime highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. It’s a refreshing change, but you’ll definitely want to have your umbrella on hand.
As we head toward the end of the week, the rain coverage will start to ease. We’ll see more isolated showers, and temperatures will climb back up into the upper 80s. Still, it’ll be a bit more hit or miss as far as rain, so don’t get caught off guard.
