MEMPHIS — There is no escaping Scottie Scheffler this week, either as the FedEx Cup leader or celebrated film star.

In a send up to his cameo appearance in “Happy Gilmore 2,” Netflix has a promotional tent set up at the FedEx St. Jude Championship called “Scottie’s Chicken Shack.” Located at the Fan Hub between the 12th and 18th fairways at TPC Southwind, the food tent offers three varieties of chicken fingers, and if you’ve seen the film, then you get the joke. Cost of fingers and fries is $14. Beer, soda and water also are available.

The tent features a photo of Scheffler laying on a bench in a jail cell, a still taken from a scene from the movie after Scheffler gets arrested for punching a competitor. Obviously, that’s a take on the real-life arrest of Scheffler at last year’s PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club after a misunderstanding that led to a traffic mishap with a Louisville police officer.

(Kind of amazing the four-time major winner agreed to that storyline in the film.)

In the movie, the gag continues in the holding cell when an officer asks Scheffler if he might think about getting sprung. “It’s been three days … sure you don’t want to make that call?”

Scheffler responds, “Depends. What’s for dinner?”

“Chicken fingers,” says the officer, whereby Scheffler replies, “I’ll stick around another night.”

Fans who haven’t seen the viral clip or the film can hang around the shack and watch the movie, which is being shown on a monitor on a continuous loop.

No word yet on if Scheffler has stopped in for chicken fingers. it was Netflix that approached him about having the shack at Southwind and the World No. 1 obliged.

After a four-under 66 on Friday, Scheffler stood at seven-under 133, six shots behind cliubhouse leader Tommy Fleetwood.
