Following the 2025 US Open, the stars of the WTA will travel to nearby Sao Paolo, Brazil for the Sao Paolo Open straight after the US Open.
A WTA 250, the Sao Paolo Open slated to run from September 8-14, 2025 will see tennis make it’s return to Brazil in 25 years after the city hosted the Brasil Open. The modernized tournament will see 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams compete for their respective titles.
Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia will look to garner home support as the top seed at the event. The World No.21 has been in poor form over the last few months, suffering a second round loss at Wimbledon before falling in the opening round at the subsequent WTA 1000 events in Montreal and Cincinnati
