Rory McIlroy is a golfer who has achieved great success this year. The most important moment was certainly his victory at the Masters, which he had been waiting for a long time.

It’s clear that this seasoned 36-year-old golfer is still open to advice no matter how experienced he is.

McIlroy admitted that he spoke with tennis legend Roger Federer and realized how important it is to play in places where he had not had the opportunity to play before.

Although most golfers focus on the big tournaments, there are those who want to meet the expectations of the fans at smaller tournaments as well, and at the same time make the organizers happy.

Rory McIlroy can certainly be an example to his peers about what direction their careers should take and how they should treat others.

“I want to go and play in different places in the world and experience things that I haven’t experienced before, to be able to do things for the first time 18 years into a career,” he told reporters, as quoted by the South African.

“I had a chat with Roger Federer, I don’t know, a few years ago sort of at the end of his career and he was saying he wanted to go and play a lot of the places he could never play in his career, some of the smaller events, just because a lot of people had never seen him play tennis before.

I think as time goes on and I get to this stage of my career, I get excited about doing that sort of thing.

I don’t want to name a tournament but you’re going back to the same place, the same thing 15, 20 years in a row, it can get a little bit monotonous and a little bit tedious.

I want to play in the locations that I love to go to, and I want to play the majors and the Ryder Cup. That’s it.”

Rory does not want to play golf at any cost

While we once looked at him as a relatively young golfer who had yet to make his way in the professional world, Rory McIlroy is the best example of how quickly time flies. The famous golfer admitted that he doesn’t want to play on the PGA Tour at 50 and that he is aware of the importance of ending his career when you feel the time is right.

At 36, McIlroy is not someone who wants to play golf at all costs, no matter how his body reacts. While he is at the peak of his career, he wants to give his best and do everything he can to stay there.

When McIlroy feels that his body can no longer handle the exertions it used to, he is ready to give up the sport.
