WATCH: Caleb Williams’ meltdown on sidelines goes viral as Bears QB struggles massively vs. Commanders on MNF

Caleb Williams did not put up a great performance on Monday night against the Washington Commanders. A clip of the Chicago Bears quarterback is now making the rounds on the internet.

In the video, we see Caleb Williams having a meltdown on the sidelines. He was seen complaining to a member of the team’s coaching staff as the Bears’ offense remained inconsistent with their plays against the Washington Commanders.

Williams and the Bears had a BYE last week after securing a two-game winning streak against the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders. With new head coach and offensive guru Ben Johnson, fans expected the quarterback to up his game.

However, the 2022 Heisman winner has had a roller coaster journey so far this year. In four games, Williams has recorded 927 yards and eight TDs passing with two interceptions and seven sacks to his name. The Commanders, on the other hand, secured a 3-2 record heading into this Monday night showdown against the Bears.

It looked like the Bears were heading for another loss on the road. However, things took an unexpected turn in the fourth quarter. During a third-and-one play by the Commanders, Jayden Daniels fumbled the ball, which ended up being recovered by Bears CB Nahshon Wright.

With three minutes left, Ben Johnson’s offense then set up placekicker Jake Moody to attempt a field goal. He managed to score from the 38-yard line, giving the Bears a dramatic one-point victory (25-24). Caleb Williams ended the night completing 17 of the 29 passes he attempted for 252 yards and two total touchdowns.

Bears news: Caleb Williams makes promise after contributing to collapse vs. Vikings

Caleb Williams heaps praise on Jake Moody for game-winning FG against the Commanders

After the game, Caleb Williams joined ESPN’s Laura Rutledge for an interview. He was asked to share his thoughts about Jake Moody’s game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter.

The Bears quarterback heaped praise on Moody. He also expressed his excitement about securing the victory on the road at Northwest Stadium.

“I really didn’t know who he was when I first joined the team. And then I saw him kick a 65-yard at practice. From what he was able to do coming here, I know he’s had some tough times recently. But been able to come in here, rainy, windy all of this, and come play for us, happy for him and happy for us.”

“We went 0-2 in the first two games. We tied it back up, went 2-2. And now we’re 3-2, because of our fight. Because of how we face adversity and how we come through and come together.”

The Bears will next take on the New Orleans Saints at home on Oct.19.
