Gary Player has left a lasting mark on the golfing world thanks to his stunning success, which included nine major championship wins.
Player claimed his first major championship success at The Open Championship in 1959, and went on to win the event two more times.
The South African legend also won The Masters on three occasions, as well as the PGA Championship twice and the US Open once.
Such phenomenal efforts have placed the 89-year-old’s name on an exclusive list of players to complete the career grand slam.
Also on the impressive list are his fellow legends Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

He wrote: “Out of the bunker, choking down on the club can be a tremendous help, especially when the ball sits in a tight lie or when you want more control over the strike.
“It shortens the swing arc, keeps the hands steady, and helps you deliver the clubhead precisely where it needs to enter the sand.”
Every Gary Player major championship win
Amateur golfers everywhere would be wise to listen to any and all advice from Player, although repeating his feats is a near-impossible task.
Even the current world beaters struggle from the sand, with only a few players having been able to really master their bunker game.
