Michael Brennan won his first PGA Tour event at the Bank of Utah Championship last weekend.
Brennan accepted a sponsor exemption to play in the tournament and was not expected to leave with the trophy.
The 23-year-old, who was making his first professional start on the PGA Tour, has since been tipped to achieve great success.
Johnson Wagner is the latest to predict more titles for Brennan, partly because he has some similar traits to world number one Scottie Scheffler.

Johnson Wagner is convinced Michael Brennan will have more success
Wagner recalled his personal experience of winning on the PGA Tour for the first time and then becoming “complacent.”
However, he does not expect complacency to be an issue for Brennan because he is so driven and enjoys practicing his game.
Wagner pointed out that Scheffler’s immense work ethic is the key reason for his dominance, and Brennan will benefit from having a similar mindset.
“I know when a lot of people get that first win on the PGA Tour… it made me a little complacent,” Wagner explained. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’ve gotten here.’ You forget about all the work you put into getting to that point.
“I think that’s what makes Scottie Scheffler so great. I’m certainly not making that comparison, but he does. He has a good head on his shoulders. He’s a competitor. He likes working. He likes the process of it.
“I firmly believe he’s going to have a crack at getting on that 2027 Ryder Cup team, and I think we need to start… Look, Nick Dunlap won twice as a young player, but he’s lost his way.
“It can clearly happen, but this young man seems more poised than any sub-25-year-old, maybe with the exception of Akshay Bhatia, to really go off. This is not a flash in the pan.”
Brendon de Jonge compares Michael Brennan’s golf swing to Adam Scott’s
Brendon de Jonge doubled down on Wagner’s comments by suggesting that Brennan is “different” from most first-time PGA Tour winners.
De Jonge was so impressed with Brennan’s golf swing at the Bank of Utah Championship that he even compared it to Adam Scott’s.
“You watch some guys play, and you’re like, ‘This guy’s a nice player, or he’s had a nice week.’ This one hits a little bit different,” he said.
“We did a comparison of his golf swing next to Adam Scott’s golf swing. There are a lot of similarities in the golf swings there.
“He has so much speed there, and he seems to have a wonderful head on his shoulders. You listen to him speak and the way he carries himself; he gets it.”
