Jaxson Dart took a subtle jab at veteran quarterback Russell Wilson’s age. During Wednesday’s media availability, the New York Giants quarterback shared his honest thoughts on his relationship with the Super Bowl XLVIII champion alongside Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
“I kind of see it as, I’ve got two big brothers in the room,” Dart said. “Russ might reach a little bit of unc status a little big. But they’re both my big brothers out there.
“The wisdom they shed off of me is huge. They’ve done it for a long time, and they’ve succeeded at the highest level. I’m in a very unique situation to have those guys, and we have great relationships off the field too. So, really just blessed and grateful to have those guys in the room.”

The Giants drafted Jaxson Dart with the 25th overall pick in this year’s draft. Apart from this, they also brought in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in the offseason for more depth in the quarterback depth chart.
Brian Daboll and his team had named the 10-time Pro Bowler as the QB1 during the start of the season. However, after a three-game losing streak, the Giants replaced Wilson with Jaxson Dart on the field.
So far, the rookie quarterback has helped the team put up a 2-6 record after eight games. They are currently on a two-game losing streak heading into Sunday’s showdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Jaxson Dart has tallied a total of 984 yards and eight TDs passing while rushing for 195 yards and four touchdowns.
Jaxson Dart gets real about Cam Skattebo’s presence at Giants facility after injury
Another rookie who has been impressive on the field for the Giants is running back Cam Skattebo. Unfortunately, he suffered a dislocated ankle during their 38-20 loss against the Eagles in Week 8.
Skattebo underwent surgery to treat his injury, but is expected to miss four to six months of action, sidelining him for the rest of the season. On Wednesday, Jaxson Dart opened up about the rookie RB’s presence at the team’s facility.
“That was good,” Dart said about Skattebo’s presence at the team’s facility. “I think that’s kind of just be how he is. Like, he’s going to hate sitting at home and whatnot, so I’m sure he’ll be around here a lot. It’s good to see his face for sure.”
Cam Skattebo has been a crucial part of the Giants offense this season. Before injury, he recorded 410 yards and five touchdowns rushing.
The Giants vs 49ers showdown kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS.
