Tom Brady reveals true feelings on Drew Brees joining Fox Sports by replacing Mark Sanchez

On Friday, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady shared his honest thoughts on ex-Saints quarterback Drew Brees joining the FOX broadcasting crew. The ex-Patriots quarterback shared FOX Sports’ clip showcasing Brees’ final moments on the field while announcing his addition to the crew as an analyst.

Brady accompanied the post with a caption that read:

“And just like that I become the 3rd most accurate QB at @FOXSports (Terry still has both of us beat) Welcome to the family @drewbrees!!!”

Tom Brady was referring to the fact that Drew Brees is the third-most accurate QB in NFL history behind Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa. The Super Bowl XLIV champion boasted a 67.7% pass completion rate and tallied 80,358 yards and 571 TDs passing during his 20-season career in the league.

Brees will replace Mark Sanchez as an analyst and will be calling games alongside play-by-play analyst Adam Amin starting next week. On Friday, he expressed his excitement about becoming a part of the FOX Sports broadcasting crew.

“I appreciate the opportunity FOX has given me in the booth and with their team,” Brees said. “I hope my passion for this game is reflected in the knowledge and insight I provide to fans each Sunday.”

Drew Brees began his NFL journey with the San Diego Chargers in 2001. He then joined the Saints in 2006 before hanging up his cleats after the 2020 season.

He then joined NBC Sports as a color analyst in 2021, but parted ways after just one season. In September this year, he had joined ESPN’s “First Take” as a weekly contributor.

Drew Brees’ ex-teammate Darren Sproles shares his honest thoughts on retired quarterback

On the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast last month, Brees named his ex-teammate Darren Sproles as his favorite offensive weapon. On Friday, the retired running back shared his take on sharing the field with the quarterback.

“I’mma tell you something. For him, to mention me out of all the weapons that he had. That is very special,” Sproles said on the ‘Up & Adams Show’. “For him, like to say that, it means a lot. … With Drew like, Drew took all, like the thinking out of it. Like, he was able just to go play. You didn’t have to think like that with Drew (on the field). Cause Drew always put you in the right place at the right time.”

Sproles played with Drew Brees during his stint with the Saints from 2011 to 2013. He then joined the Eagles in 2014 before retiring in 2019 after suffering a season-ending injury.
