Ben Griffin shared the biggest lesson he learned about winning on the PGA Tour. The American golfer has teed it up this week at the World Wide Technology Championship, and after three rounds, he was tied for third place.

He is in contention to win the title, and in the post-round press conference on Saturday, he said (via Tee Scripts):

“I’ve seen crazy things happen in the past at TOUR events where guys hole out shots or guys make an eagle on the last, and all of a sudden, someone might have thought they had a good chance of winning and then they’re going to a playoff or whatnot.

“I’ve got to be extremely aggressive but smart and steady. The wind can pick up out here a little bit, so keeping the ball in front of me as much as possible is important, and yeah, just got to stay aggressive and hopefully shoot a low enough one,” he added.

Ben Griffin has won two tournaments on the PGA Tour so far in his career, and this week he is looking forward to adding a third one. Interestingly, both his wins came in 2025.

He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans by playing in a team with Andrew Novak. They registered a one-stroke victory over Nicolai Hojgaard and his brother Rasmus Hojgaard. Griffin then won the Charles Schwab Challenge by defeating Matti Schmid by one stroke.

Ben Griffin opens up about performance at World Wide Technology Championship

Ben Griffin started his third round at the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship on the first tee with a birdie. He made another birdie on the second and then two more birdies on the fifth and sixth holes.

On the back nine, he added three birdies and a bogey for a round of 6-under 66 and settled in a tie for third place at 20-under. In the post-round press conference, he opened up about his performance and said (via Tee Scripts):

“It’s been really solid. Having a lot of fun out there. It’s an awesome venue, awesome week. Obviously I’m ambassador with Worldwide Technology, so it’s always fun to come here and have some fun with all their customers, clients and employees and then also mix it in with some competitive golf. It’s been an awesome time so far in Cabo and my game has been solid.

Meanwhile, Garrick Higgo took the lead in the game after playing a round of 61. He settled at the score of 22-under. Carson Young settled in second place.

Earlier this year on the PGA Tour, Ben Griffin was the runner-up at the Memorial Tournament and at the Procore Championship. He has had an amazing season so far, and it would be interesting to see if he wins the third PGA Tour event on Sunday, November 9.
