
With the Chiefs enjoying a bye week, Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, decided to visit his alma mater, Texas Tech, for this week’s College GameDay showdown. A photo of the three-time Super Bowl champion with his wife at Jones AT&T Stadium went viral on social media.
In the snippet, we see Mahomes flaunting a Texas Tech Red Raiders jersey with his college number on it. His wife, Brittany, stole the show as she flaunted a red and black moto jacket paired with a black top and a pair of sunglasses. She showcased her unwavering support for her husband and his alma mater despite not attending the same University.

Quarterback Behren Morton recorded 17 of 32 passes for 219 yards and one TD passing, while placekicker Stone Harrington scored five field goals to secure the win. This helped them put up a 9-1 record while establishing a three-game winning streak.
Patrick Mahomes spent three seasons playing for Texas Tech from 2014 to 2016. He began his journey as a backup to David Webb before taking over as the starting quarterback of the Red Raiders.
In three seasons, he tallied 11,252 yards and 93 TDs passing while rushing for 820 yards and 22 TDs. The Chiefs then drafted him with the 10th overall pick during the 2017 NFL draft.
Pat McAfee shares heartfelt advice with Patrick Mahomes on College GameDay
On Saturday, the Chiefs quarterback joined the ESPN GameDay crew as a guest picker for the Texas Tech vs BYU showdown. During his appearance, Pat McAfee offered some sincere advice to Mahomes regarding his NFL career.
“Patrick Mahomes is going to go down as a GOAT. … You need to stop taking those damn hits!” McAfee said. “I think the reason why you enjoy doing that though is because you are a Texas Tech Red Raider.
“This kind of epitomises being a tough football place- you got a high school football coach from the area, comes in here, revamps everything, you got alumni that play ball and wanna dump money back into the organization.”
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were on track to three-peat the Lombardi Trophy last season. Unfortunately, they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
This season, the Chiefs are 5-4 after losing to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9. They are scheduled to face the Denver Broncos next Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
