Hollywood actress Hailee Steinfeld might have had a completely different name at the time of her birth. On Friday’s edition of the “Beau Society” newsletter, she answered a fan’s question who wanted to know how she got the nickname Beau.

While telling the story behind her nickname, Josh Allen’s wife also revealed how her parents had come up with an alternative other than Hailee while choosing a name for her before her birth.

“Before I was born, my parents couldn’t decide whether to name me Hailee or Bailee,” Steinfeldsaid. “Obviously, they landed with Hailee, but still liked the sound of Bailee, so they started calling me ‘Hailee Beau Bailee’, which shortened to Beau. It’s a childhood nickname that I never dropped.”

Over the years, Hailee Steinfeld has made quite a name for herself in Hollywood. She acted in movies like The Sinners, Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, True Grit, Charlie’s Angels, and others.

She started dating Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen in 2023. The couple tied the knot in May after the 2024 NFL MVP proposed to her in November 2024. Back in April, Allen shared his true feelings about watching his wife’s role in “The Sinners”.

“I was just so proud of her,” Allen said during an interview with NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt. “I get emotional thinking about it, but it was a pretty cool experience. I’m just there trying to support her, in whatever was that I can. And that was her moment, and I’m so glad she got to shine.”

Last month, Hailee Steinfeld had an interview with Variety Magazine. During this, she opened up about what it’s like to be married to an NFL quarterback.

Steinfeld said that they are following Allen’s schedule during the season. However, once the season ends, she will get busy with her own projects.

“His nose is good,” Steinfeld said about Allen. “What we do is so unpredictable, and how his job is on such a strict schedule. So, it’s actually a blessing- I try to organize my time so I can be where he is. This time of the year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.

“I’ve never lived this part of life before- outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”

This season, Allen has helped the Bills to a 6-2 record heading into Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. On the other hand, Hailee Steinfeld is celebrating the fact that three songs from her film “The Sinners” have been nominated for the Grammy Awards.
