Tom Brady’s ex-teammate, LeSean McCoy, expressed his frustration with how the Bills rely heavily on their quarterback, Josh Allen. After the team’s disappointing 30-13 loss to a struggling 3-7 Miami Dolphins, the retired two-time Super Bowl champion went on a rant on social media.
McCoy shared a few tweets highlighting how the Buffalo Bills expect Josh Allen to make “Superman” plays on offense, hampering their chances of defeating top teams in the league.
“Bills WR’s can’t get open so now Josh has to play Superman and scramble or extent plays. … you wonder why they can’t beat the top teams in the playoffs,” McCoy said.

In another tweet, LeSean McCoy questioned why Sean McDermott and his team do not provide the 2024 NFL MVP with some help in the offense and bring in reliable pairs of hands to improve their passing game.
“Why do the bills refuse to get Josh Allen some more help. … other than Cook you don’t fear nobody..” McCoy tweeted.

The only real threat the Bills have on offense, apart from their quarterback, is RB James Cook. Against the Dolphins, their top WRs Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir struggled heavily, accumulating just 6.1 yards per target. McDermott’s team has been relying on the running game heavily this season, ranking No.14 in terms of passing offense.
Against the Dolphins, Allen completed 28 of 40 passes for 306 yards and two passing touchdowns. This season, he has rushed for seven touchdowns while passing for just 2,139 yards and 15 TDs.
Josh Allen takes a long pause while answering questions about WR Keon Coleman
In the post-game press conference, the quarterback was questioned about whether Coleman was doing enough to provide him with some help on the field. Josh Allen took a long pause before answering how the WR scored one touchdown against the Dolphins.
“I mean, he got one today. So, yeah,” Allen said.
The Bills drafted Keon Coleman with the 33rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. During his rookie campaign last season, he tallied 556 yards and four touchdowns receiving. This season, the WR has recorded 336 yards and three touchdowns receiving in nine games.
After Sunday’s loss, the Bills are now placed second in the AFC East behind the New England Patriots. They are next scheduled to face the Buccaneers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
