Wyndham Clark sends message to Keegan Bradley after US Ryder Cup team snub

Wyndham Clark failed to qualify for the US Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black in September, nor did he receive a captain’s pick from Keegan Bradley.

However, Clark was in such poor form throughout the 2025 season that Bradley snubbing him for the Ryder Cup team was not a surprise whatsoever.

It wasn’t just his poor form that let him down this season but his questionable behavior on and off the golf course as well.

There were calls for Clark to be banned after he damaged the Oakmont lockers during the US Open in June.

Another regrettable incident was when Clark hurled his club into an advertising board during the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.

Clark openly admitted that the 2025 season was a struggle for him, and he’ll be hoping to return to form in 2026.

Wyndham Clark sends message to Keegan Bradley after Ryder Cup snub

Clark ended the year in 17th in the Ryder Cup points list, and Bradley chose to look elsewhere for his captain’s picks, unsurprisingly so.

When speaking to Golfweek’s Adam Schupak, Clark sent a message to Bradley regarding his Ryder Cup omission.

“Kind of a bummer that I didn’t get picked in the sense that the golf course, especially the way it was set up, was tailor made for me, he explained.

“If not, oh well, I’ve got to play my way into them. Just have a chip on my shoulder and say, ‘All right, well, I’m going to earn my way back in’.

“It’s my favorite place to be. I love it,” he said. “It’s great to be at the top and ride momentum but there’s something about grinding it out and people overlooking you and you stare them down and say, ‘I’m going to do this.’ When you do that it’s very rewarding.”

Clark clearly believes that he would have been a big asset for Team USA at Bethpage Black.

However, it was impossible for Bradley to pick him at the time, given the poor form he displayed throughout the season, regardless of how well suited he may have been to the golf course.

Wyndham Clark makes honest admission about Oakmont locker room incident

Clark highlighted how his behavior during the 2025 season was brought around by frustrations with his game.

He said: What happened at the U.S. Open was the kick in the face to say, ‘Hey, wake up, let’s get back to who I am’. I started spiraling a little bit mentally and my swing got off. You’re searching for stuff, trying something different each week.

“Golf is just tough. You’re a top-10 player in the world and you’ve got a lot of things going on and then you don’t play well and the expectations and then you feel like it’s slipping away from you. It starts affecting everything outside of golf too. It’s just not a good place to be. You don’t want to be defined by your golf. But that’s the struggle we have out here: You have a score that is put up to your name. I got to a spot where that was everything.

“I did something I regret. I brought it upon myself. Any negative press was self-induced and probably deserved,” he said. “It’s a bummer that people don’t understand the circumstances and whatnot but at the same time I had to own up to it and it was a great reminder for the rest of the year that, hey, I screwed up. I learned a lot and it got me back to who Wyndham Clark is.

He added: “I feel like I matured a lot this year. You learn so much more in bad years than you do in good years. It’s made me really hungry for next year.”

It will be interesting to watch Clark next year, mainly to see how he performs on the golf course, but also to see whether he has learnt his lesson regarding some of his unacceptable behavior.
