Marshawn Kneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, is pregnant.

According to the Daily Mail, Mancera has been with Kneeland’s family as they grieve.

On Tuesday, she was seen with his sister, Yahmya Kneeland, outside an apartment building in Plano, Texas.

Speaking for the first time since the tragedy, Mancera said:

“I’m grieving hard right now. It will be a long time before I’ll feel ready to talk at any length.”

She also explained that funeral plans are still being worked out:

“We’re still in the early stages of everything. We are working on the funeral arrangements. I don’t know where it’s going to be yet.”

When asked about the circumstances of Kneeland’s death, Mancera said:

“It’s too much.”

Kneeland and Mancera had been together since college at Western Michigan University. His cousin, Nicole Kneeland-Woods, told the Daily Mail that the couple shared many milestones together.

Marshawn Kneeland died on Thursday.

Police found his body in a portable restroom near Network Boulevard and Gaylord Parkway in Frisco, close to where his car had crashed after a high-speed chase.

Authorities say it was an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and they are investigating his death as a possible suicide.

Reportedly, he sent a “goodbye message” to loved ones.

Kneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina, immediately contacted police, informing that Kneeland was armed and had a history of mental health struggles.

Sadly, the search ended in tragedy.

Brian Schottenheimer pays tribute to Marshawn Kneeland

At the Wednesday’s press conference, Brian Schottenheimer began by offering condolences to Marshawn Kneeland’s family and his girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, saying the team gathered the previous night to celebrate his life.

“We told stories, shared laughs. Marshawn loved the words ‘one love,’” Schottenheimer said. “So we talked a lot about love as we grieve.”

Cowboys coach remembered Kneeland as one of the most joyful players he had ever met.

“He had the most playful spirit. His smile could take you to your knees,” Schottenheimer said. “As an athlete, no one had a better motor than him. My heart is heavy, and our team’s heart is heavy.”

Schottenheimer ended by saying, “We do not move on, but we do move forward.”
