Kai Trump revealed what she needed to work on after missing the cut at The Annika 2025. Trump junior made her LPGA debut at the Annika Driven at the Pelican Golf Club. This was not just her first LPGA appearance but her first professional tournament.
Trump played for two days, and after that, she missed the cutline at the tournament. After missing the cut, she joined an exclusive interview to share how she could improve her golf skills for her future benefit. She said:
“How consistent they are. Like I hit it just as far, but their irons — even if they miss it, they’re still on the green. And obviously I think that’s something I have to work more on, especially short game. They all have amazing short game out here. So I think it’s yeah.”
Trump also added how she felt relaxed after the second round. She continued:
“I mean, it’s been awesome. It’s there’s a lot of pressure, obviously, but I’ve been having a great time and especially today, I think the nerves have calmed down a little. Yesterday was a little scary, but today I feel more relaxed and I feel like, you know, like I’m, I’m ready to do this. So, so I mean, the experience has been amazing, but feel better today.”
“It was cool to meet Nelly in person. I’ve never met her in person. And it was really cool to see her, see her balls on the range as well. And yeah, I see Nelly. Next just more tournaments. I just signed with University of Miami on Wednesday. So I mean more tournaments and then eventually go to college,” Kai Trump added.
Before the Annika Driven, Kai Trump played at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior to finish in 26th place, the 2025 Junior Invitational to finish in 24th place, and the Dustin Johnson Junior World Championship to finish in 29th place.
