Kevin Stefanski is still largely undecided on whether to start Shedeur Sanders after Sunday.
In the third quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ 23-16 loss to the Ravens, the fifth-round rookie quarterback entered an NFL field for the first time in his career, subbing in for a concussed Dillon Gabriel. He would finish with four completions out of 16 attempts for 47 yards and an interception to Nate Wiggins.
After the game, Stefanski said about the possibility of Sanders starting in Week 12 at the similarly hapless Las Vegas Raiders:
“We’ll look at it. …He’s gonna battle like he does. I’m sure there are things that we can clean up. Those are things we’ll look at tomorrow.”

He continued:
“We trust all of our guys. Trust our guys to perform, and he’s no different. Playing a backup role, as we’ve talked about over the years, that’s tough to come in there. But we trust him. I know there’s things that he’s going to want to do better, but that’s why we work.”
