“I know you don’t listen”: Rex Ryan calls out Shedeur Sanders’ postgame comment after Browns’ 24-10 win vs. Raiders

Shedeur Sanders has been the talk of the town after leading the Cleveland Browns to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in his first NFL start on Sunday. Sanders completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown and an interception to snap the Browns’ three-game losing streak.

Although Sanders made quite the impression on his first start for Cleveland, analyst Rex Ryan has offered some advice for the QB regarding his post-game comments.

“Did he play great? no. It was about the defense. Shedeur I know you don’t listen, but start saying WE and US after a team win and watch your popularity rise.” Ryan said on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Monday.

Sanders was confident in his post-game interview, but also took a swipe at some of those who wanted to see him fail.

“A lot of people want to see me fail,” Sanders said. “It ain’t gonna happen, you know? It’s ain’t gonna happen.”

Sanders also said that he led the Browns to victory after just one week of practice with the first team. The performance and win will likely boost his confidence moving forward.

Notably, Sanders became the first rookie QB in Browns history to record a win in his first career start since the organization’s reactivation in 1999.

On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Browns are considering naming Shedeur Sanders as their starting quarterback.

Sanders started against the Raiders because fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel didn’t clear the concussion protocols.

Last week, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Gabriel will be the team’s QB1 if he is healthy. However, Sanders appears to have grabbed the opportunity to impress and has been rewarded.

Cleveland will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 of the 2025 season on Sunday, with Sanders likely to lead its offense.
