“This is who you are”: Ex-Eagles LB berates Nick Sirianni’s entourage after embarrassing 24-15 loss to Bears

The Philadelphia Eagles lost 24-15 to the Chicago Bears on Black Friday. And one of their former linebackers has some harsh words about them.

On the post-game edition of the Speakeasy podcast, Emmanuel Acho said:

“We’re in December! If you ain’t figured it out yet, you’re not going to figure it out. … This is who you are. Eagles have to look in the mirror and say, ‘We can’t run the ball this year.’ Jalen Hurts has to look in the mirror and say, ‘I can’t throw the ball effectively this year.’ The defense has to look at the mirror and say, ‘OK, we are solid defense. We bend a lot.'”

Meanwhile, his ex-temmate LeSean McCoy added:

“Today actually, the run game wasn’t really bad. But you did see a lot of us out there, on offense, not get the plays. Jalen Huers, on some of these plays, wasn’t on the same page (with his receivers). … He played well, but tell me, who played well for the Eagles?”

The result spoiled a season-best ten receptions and 132 yards by AJ Brown, who scored both of Jalen Hurts’ touchdowns. However, Saquon Barkley was held to a meager 56 yards on 13 carries, while Jalen Hurts threw an interception to Kevon Byard and lost a fumble to Nahson Wright during a tush-push attempt.

Win over Eagles makes Bears legitimate title contenders, says Emmanuel Acho

In the same episode, Emmanuel Acho praised the Bears for defeating the Eagles, largely with a punishing ground game that put out 281 yards and a touchdown on 47 carries. According to him, it legitimized them as a Super Bowl threat — something that they have not been since 2018 at the latest:

“(The) Bears are winning the most dominant division in all of football. A division that has the Packers and the Lions, and the Bears are doing it convincingly. … You took their soul. We ain’t seen that happen in ten years. … And here’s the worst part: Caleb Williams didn’t even ball!”

He concluded:

“If I am an Eagles fan, player, coach, I am utterly embarrassed with how we played today. Something has to give.”

The Eagles’ next game will be against the Los Angeles Chargers on December 8. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC.
