Wide receiver Garrett Wilson’s alma mater, Ohio State defeated their arch nemesis, the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes’ win was the team’s first in six years in the annual rivalry game.
Wilson’s girlfriend, former Texas basketball player, Shay Holle, celebrated their alma mater’s big wins in the final regular season games of the college football season. Holle took a jab at Michigan by posting a photo of their dog, Melo, wearing a Buckeyes bandana while taking a nap.
“Peaceful weekend of Longhorn and Buckeyes dubs (sleepy emoji),” Holle captioned the photo of her dog.

The Buckeyes’ 27-9 win over the Wolverines didn’t come without controversy. In the second quarter Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, caught a pass from quarterback Julian Sayin on a fourth and five. Smith caught the ball and as he approached the goal line, the football bobbled as he ran out of bounds.
The play was called a touchdown and then reviewed by the officials and remained a score for Ohio State. The review though was then criticized by many fans as a closer look could have determined that Smith actually fumbled and not scored.
Garrett Wilson’s girlfriend, Shay Holle called life a big ‘hug’
Garrett Wilson and the 2-9 New York Jets have had a turbulent season despite undergoing an overhaul of the coaching staff and front office last year. Life off the field for Wilson though, appears to be going quite well.
Wilson’s girlfriend, Shay Holle, posted a recap of her life lately in an Instagram post. She recalled the heartwarming moments that she has experienced along with a carousel of images of time spent with her loved ones.
“Feels like life is giving me a big hug 🫂🙂,” Shay Holle stated.
Holle’s trip to MetLife Stadium to watch a New York Jets game was captured in the post. She and Garrett Wilson posed for a pregame photo on the sidelines.
Holle and Wilson have been dating since 2024 but didn’t go public with their relationship until April. The former college basketball players posted photos of them together on Instagram.
