Shedeur Sanders was unable to lead the Cleveland Browns to a win in his first home start. The quarterback struggled in the backfield in the 28-6 loss to the San Francisco 49ers at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday, with the Browns dropping to a 3-9 record for the year.

In his postgame press conference, Sanders was asked about his feelings on play-calls made by Kevin Stefanski in certain situations during the game against the 49ers. The rookie quarterback refused to answer, noting to the reporter that it was improper to ask such a question.

Reporter: “There were two 4th & 1 that didn’t work, and did you like Kevin having the aggressiveness there, even backed up in your territory?”

Sanders: “First, that’s a rude question to ask. If I think, it was a great call by my coach.”

Reporter: “Do you like the impression? Do you like the call?

Sanders: “I like being out there playing. So whatever that comes with, it comes with. We’re not going to be here and ever point fingers at no coach or do anything like that.”

Emmanuel Acho shared his opinion on that scenario in the postgame press conference on social media. The analyst believes the media is trying to create scenes that can cause unrest around Shedeur Sanders with the Browns’ building.

“The media keeps trying to get Shedeur Sanders caught up dissing his coach these press conferences. Great answer Shedeur. Well done here,” Acho wrote on X.

Shedeur Sanders reviews his performance against the 49ers

Shedeur Sanders was questioned about his feelings regarding his performance against the San Francisco 49ers in his postgame press conference. The game on Sunday was undoubtedly a drop from his outing against the Las Vegas Raiders, and he admitted the struggles.

“I didn’t play well,” Sanders said. “There’s definitely things on film, I’m gonna look back and wanna get back and wanna see.But at least moving forward, I know what we could do differently going about the week and being able to get fully, fully prepared for every possibility.”

Sanders completed 16 of 25 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown as the Browns guaranteed their second straight losing season. His effort kept the game close in the first half before the 49ers ran away with it in the second half.

According to Kevin Stefanski, Shedeur Sanders will get another starting opportunity next week as the Browns face the Tennessee Titans. This is a chance for him to impress and hold on to the starting job.
