“Targeted because he is MAGA” – Donald Trump’s long-time advisor alleges conspiracy in Antonio Brown’s attempted murder case

Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s advisor, Roger Stone, has come forward to defend ex-NFL star Antonio Brown amid his alleged attempted murder case.

On X, the New Right consultant praised Brown’s NFL career before dismissing the attempted murder charges. Stone said that the former wide receiver was being targeted because he is a MAGA supporter and believes in POTUS Donald Trump.

“Hanging with probably the greatest wide receiver in American football history, Antonio Brown, who did nothing wrong. Brown has been targeted because he is MAGA,” Stone tweeted.

Back in May, Antonio Brown found himself involved in a shooting incident while attending streamer Adin Ross’ boxing event in Miami. The former Steelers star later clarified that he pulled his gun out in self-defense because a couple of people were trying to rob him.

Brown was temporarily detained by the police following the incident, but was later let go. However, in June, an arrest warrant was issued in his name. The former Steelers star was extradited to Miami from Dubai, but was released from jail last Thursday on a $25,000 bond.

Brown was placed under level three house arrest and was made to wear a GPS ankle monitor. His attorney made a ‘not guilty’ plea on Monday as they filed a motion to dismiss the murder charges based on Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

Skip Bayless shares his honest thoughts on Antonio Brown’s downfall

Last month, Skip Bayless talked about all the controversies Antonio Brown found himself involved in over the past couple of years.

During an appearance on “The Arena,” he highlighted the success Brown had as a WR in the league before completely falling from grace because of fame and money.

“The guy I knew was a hard worker, hard practicer,” Bayless said (TS-6:20). “So, he was the ultimate overachiever, man. I mean, he turned himself into a first ballot Hall of Famer pretty fast. … He just took the sport over. … And with the personality, you got the world by the tail. You can do whatever you want.

“As social media hit, he tried to get big on social media. Maybe that went to his head, the money went to his head. I don’t know. But it was one incident after another. And it was like, ‘Oh, he’ll never learn from his lesson.’ He kept going and it kept spinning deeper and deeper out of control.”

Antonio Brown spent 12 seasons playing in the NFL. He tallied a total of 12,291 yards and 83 touchdowns receiving before his infamous exit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
