The 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational begins on Friday, December 12 at Tiburón Golf Club in Florida. This is the third edition of the mixed LPGA and PGA Tour event, and both past champion teams are back in the field. Lydia Ko and Jason Day who won the first event in 2023 return this week. Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp, the 2024 winners are also competing and will look to defend their title.

Both winning teams will play together in the final group of Round 1. The opening round follows the scramble format and starts at 9:00 a.m. ET. Angel Yin and Tom Hoge will hit the first tee shot paired with Maja Stark and Neal Shipley. All eight groups will start from the first tee with Ko and Day playing alongside Tavatanakit and Knapp at 10:45 a.m. ET.

What will the winner get at the 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational?

The 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational has a $4 million purse, with the winning team earning a combined $1,000,000. This amount is higher than the standard 18 percent payout used in most PGA Tour events. Since this is a team event, the winning pair will split the amount equally giving each player $500,000.

The event has no cut and is considered unofficial though it is sanctioned by both the PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour.
