Jerry Jones began the week sharing a cryptic update regarding Trevon Diggs’ availability in Week 15. The veteran cornerback has been dealing with serious injuries since the 2023 season. He tore his ACL two years ago, suffered a season-ending knee injury last year, and a similar issue has kept him sidelined since Week 6 of the 2025 season.
He gave signs of a potential comeback against the Detroit Lions, but he didn’t get much practice prior to that game. Executive vice president Stephen Jones announced the team would decide on Saturday, as Diggs was listed as questionable.
Dallas Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr. provided an update on Saturday, noting that Diggs’ time with the Cowboys appears to be over.
“The Cowboys are seemingly done with Diggs. Although he says he wants to remain with the Cowboys,” Hill tweeted.

Jerry Jones offered a cloudy assessment of Diggs’ chances to play against the Vikings, noting that he needed to prove he was ready to go.
“If he’s ready to go, has a week of practice – and we got lot of eyes on him – if he likes what he sees, feels, if we like what we see about putting him out there, (he will be active),” Jones said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.
The Cowboys have stayed alive in the playoff race despite not having a healthy Trevon Diggs, who is signed to a five‑year, $97 million contract that runs through the 2028 season.
They will host the Vikings Sunday night to try to improve to 7-6-1 and continue to compete for the NFC East title with the Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, Diggs’ future appears to be sealed, although he’s expressed time and again his desire to stay with the “Lone Star.”

Cowboys writer Tommy Yarrish wrote on Friday that Trevon Diggs wants to stay with the team beyond this season. The cornerback is aware that anything can happen, but he is locked in with the team.
“I love Dallas. But, you know, at the end of the day, it’s a business,” Diggs said. “Whatever happens, happens. I’m prepared, I’m ready for it. I would love to be here. I love everything that comes with Dallas, the fans, the relationships I’ve built here. But if that’s not what it is, that’s just not what it is.”
He added he is not losing sleep over it, noting that he is confident in his abilities.
