Jim Harbaugh appeared on the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday and spoke about an array of topics. One topic discussed was the Sherrone Moore and Michigan Wolverines situation.
Dan Patrick asked for Harbaugh’s thoughts on the situation regarding his former right-hand man with the Wolverines.
“It’s a tragedy, and I’m just praying for all concerned. I love my alma mater, I love Michigan, and I love the Chargers too.”
“I’d be doing a disservice if I’m not putting all my focus on this game (against the Dallas Cowboys). This is the most important game for us,” said Harbaugh

The experienced head coach is clearly concerned about Moore and his alma mater, but he has a job to do as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are vying for a divisional title with the Denver Broncos.
A loss against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16 would be detrimental to their postseason chances. It will give the Broncos the advantage in the AFC West quest, and it could be too big a deficit to overcome as the regular season comes to an end.
Jim Harbaugh and Sherrone Moore share a close bond as they both played significant roles in guiding the Wolverines to a 2023 national title. However, a sex scandal has seen Moore lose his job, and he’s currently facing a host of charges.
Harbaugh told Dan Patrick that he’s texted Moore since his arrest. However, he hasn’t spoken to the former Wolverines head coach since early December.
Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers are up against the Cowboys in Week 16
The Los Angeles Chargers (10-4) have won six of their last seven games. Their most recent victory was perhaps the most significant as it knocked the Kansas City Chiefs out of playoff contention. Next up is Brian Schottenheimer’s Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys (6-7-1) have a 1% chance of making the playoffs this season, and are fresh off a Week 15 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Dak Prescott and Co. have lost their last two games, and are there for the taking in Week 16.
Jim Harbaugh will look to spur his troops to yet another famous win in what has been an impressive 2025 campaign. He’s aiming to reduce outside noise and put the Chargers in the best position to excel in the postseason.
