LeBron James has given a shoutout to Bryson DeChambeau after revealing his growing interest in YouTube golf. The NBA star made the comment following the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Utah Jazz, admitting that golf content has recently taken up much of his viewing time.

When asked by a reporter whether Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George was playing at an All-Star level James explained that he had not been closely following the NBA. Instead, he said he had been watching golf content online, mentioning DeChambeau along with popular YouTube golfers such as the Bryan Bros and Grant Horvat. In a clip shared by NUCLR Golf on X, James said:

“I watch YouTube golf these days, so I’m the wrong guy to ask about that… I’m more into the Bryan Bros, Grant Horvat, Bryson DeChambeau and the rest of those guys.”

James has also been active on social media discussing YouTube golf. Earlier in the week he shared on X that he had been watching the Major Cut series, where Grant Horvat and the Bryan brothers play on famous major championship courses.

“Just got done watching one of Grant, George and Wesley’s Major Cut episodes. Remind me to never play at Oakmont CC guys! OMG! I would be a +100!,” LeBron wrote on X.

Despite joking about Oakmont, James has continued to spend time on the golf course. He recently posted a clip of himself sinking a putt and celebrating with a fist pump.

DeChambeau, meanwhile, continues to grow his presence on YouTube. His channel has more than 2.5 million subscribers, and his Break 50 series regularly features well-known athletes and celebrities. While he has not yet played a round with James, DeChambeau has previously collaborated with NBA star Stephen Curry.

When Stephen Curry left Bryson DeChambeau in stitches on the basketball court

In October, Bryson DeChambeau faced off against two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry in a fun one-on-one basketball game. A clip from the match quickly went viral on social media, showing Curry’s slick dribbling and signature turnaround jumper, leaving DeChambeau off balance.

Curry ended the game by calmly making a fadeaway three-pointer and celebrating with his famous “night night” gesture.

The video also caught LeBron James’ attention, and he commented on the Instagram reel with a simple, “Night Night,” referring to Curry’s well-known celebration.

The friendly matchup later led to a collaboration on DeChambeau’s Break 50 series where Curry appeared in a golf episode that has now surpassed 6.5 million views.
