Joy Taylor rips Donald Trump over “Patriot Game” initiative to celebrate USA’s 250th birthday: “Does anything but run the country with dignity”

Joy Taylor rips Donald Trump over "Patriot Game" initiative to celebrate USA

Former FS1 anchor Joy Taylor has slammed Donald Trump after the U.S. President announced a “Patriot Games” competition for next year’s 250th anniversary celebrations of the country. In a video shared on Thursday, Trump said he would host a four-day athletic event for high school students at the White House.

When Taylor caught a glimpse of the video, she reposted it on her Instagram story and shared her thoughts on the matter, while criticizing Trump.

“Really living in a Hunger Games/Handmaid’s Tale mashup. This man does anything but run the country with dignity, for everyone,” Taylor wrote on her IG story.

In his video, Trump pledged to give the U.S. “the most spectacular birthday party the world has ever seen.”

“In the fall, we will host the first ever Patriot Games, an unprecedented four-day athletic event featuring the greatest high school athletes,” Trump said. “One young man and one young woman from each state and territory.”

Trump also said he would continue to oppose transgender athletes at the event.

“But I promise there will be no men playing in women’s sports. You’re not going to see that,” Trump said.

According to reports from the White House, the “Patriot Games” activities are scheduled to take place from June 25 to July 10.

Last month, Joy Taylor disclosed that he doesn’t plan to have any kids, despite her affection for them.

“I love children,” Taylor said on her “Two Personal” podcast. “I don’t want to have them.”

Taylor also discussed her concept of building a family, rather than just having children.

“If you aren’t actually building a family and you’re just making children so that in your brain your genes live on because you think you’re special, it’s f*cking nuts,” Taylor said. “That is not a legacy. And it’s total b*llshit.”

Taylor worked at Fox Sports for nine years, joining in 2016 before being let go by the network in July.
