Amanda Balionis has welcomed Johnson Wagner to CBS’s golf broadcast team. The three-time PGA Tour winner will join as an on-course reporter for PGA Tour events on CBS and Paramount+ starting in January. He will also contribute to CBS Sports’ digital platforms, sharing previews, recaps, and content on the network’s social channels.
On Sunday, December 21, Balionis reshared a Golf on CBS post on her Instagram story, writing:
“Looking forward to a new season with the team! 🙌 welcome @johnson.wagner”

Wagner will work alongside lead on-course reporter Dottie Pepper and fellow reporter Mark Immelman. In the Super Tower, he will join Jim Nantz, Trevor Immelman, Frank Nobilo, Colt Knost, Amanda Balionis and Andrew Catalon for select events.
Balionis has been a key part of CBS’s golf coverage in 2025. She was a regular presence at major tournaments, including The Masters, Truist Championship, PGA Championship, Charles Schwab Challenge, Memorial Tournament and the TOUR Championship while also covering NFL events for the network.
Amanda Balionis opens up on hectic 2025
As 2025 comes to a close, Amanda Balionis shared a look back at her busy year. The CBS reporter revealed just how much she traveled while also opening up about needing a break for her mental health.
In a reel shared on Instagram, Balionis was seen standing on a beach, sipping coffee while reflecting on her year. Her caption read:
“I had these big plans for an end of year recap and every time I went to go do it my brain was screaming, ‘I DONT WANT TO’ 😂.I calculated my 2025 travel for the last 11ish months and realized that it’s okay to be ready to do less for a little bit.”
Balionis spent 2025 traveling more than 104,000 miles, flying 219 hours and visiting 42 cities in seven countries across three continents. She spent 19 straight weeks on the road covering golf before switching to NFL duties in the fall.
With such a busy year finding time to rest was a struggle. Balionis admitted she often felt she didn’t deserve a break.
“I fear I may have to work on this habit of believing that “rest is earned”… so for the remainder of this year I’ll be busy doing less and working on undoing some of that self talk that keeps me busy when I don’t need to be,” Balionis added.
Despite her hectic work life, Balionis also made time to enjoy life. Her most recent trip was to Istanbul, Turkey in October with her mom, Dana.
