Lady Stewart shows her support for her son and the Cincinnati Bengals each week on social media. Tee Higgins had three receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s win. The 26-year-old’s touchdown was Randy Moss-esque as caught the football behind his shoulder. Showing his connection with quarterback Joe Burrow is still very much there.
Tee Higgins reflected on journey back from concussion
Tee Higgins missed Weeks 13 and 15 after suffering two concussions. This past week he traveled to Pittsburgh to seek the advice of a specialist. After Sunday’s win he spoke to reporters about the trip and that he was relieved when he received positive news after extensive testing.
“Honestly, you know, praying that I come here and get positive news and come back with positive news to tell the team and things like that. And that’s what it was. … Obviously I was very anxious and nervous, you know what they was gonna say. But I got peace of mind, it was okay.” Higgins stated regarding his trip to see a specialist in Pittsburgh.
The reporters asked Higgins if he was taking any precautions to prevent another concussion. He revealed that he has a new helmet with additional padding and is fitted differently than his previous helmet. He told the reporters that the helmet arrived just in time for him to take the field on Sunday.
Tee Higgins is an integral part of the Cincinnati Bengals offense and getting him back despite not making the postseason, is still a strong way to end the season.
