Charley Hull shared a cozy Boxing Day moment with her fans as she enjoyed some time off following the end of the 2025 golf season. The English golfer posted a picture on social media, calling it her “best day of the year” as she spent time with her pet.

On Friday, December 26, Hull shared an Instagram story showing her sitting on a green field and hugging her German Shepherd. She wore a black puffer jacket with black leggings and completed the outfit with tan suede boots. She captioned the photo,

“Boxing Day best day of the year ❤️🐶🍰🥂”

Boxing Day is celebrated on December 26 and is a public holiday in the United Kingdom and several Commonwealth countries. It was traditionally linked to charity, but today it has become part of the extended Christmas celebrations.

Hull has been enjoying the festive break after her most recent appearance at the Grant Thornton Invitational, which marked the end of her 2025 season. She also shared photos from Christmas, celebrating with her family and her nephew, who was dressed as Santa Claus. Hull captioned the post,

While Hull is enjoying the holiday celebrations, she wrapped up an impressive season that also drew praise from one of the sport’s biggest names.

Padraig Harrington praises Charley Hull’s aggressive style of play

Padraig Harrington had high praise for Charley Hull while speaking to the media after competing at this year’s PNC Championship. The Irishman was asked about the LPGA star and did not hold back in his assessment of her style and impact on the women’s game.

“There’s no doubt that Charley is a breath of fresh air, quite a change in the women’s game,” Harrington said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

He explained that women golfers have traditionally been coached to focus on accuracy and consistency, but Hull plays with a much more attacking mindset.

“I think the ladies have been taught over the years, it’s consistently hit the fairways, hit the greens. Charley’s is much more swashbuckling,” he added.

Harrington also compared Hull’s style to how many men approach the game on the PGA Tour.

“Gives it a rip off the tee. Finds it, gets it up and down from there, and probably is playing the game more like the men are playing the game.”

According to Harrington, Hull could become an important role model for young golfers.

“I think she would be an interesting role model for the young girls going forward,” he said, adding that her style could influence the next generation.

Charley Hull’s 2025 season backed Harrington’s view. She won her third LPGA title at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Overall, she made 16 starts on the LPGA Tour and missed the cut in only two events. She also recorded four top 10 finishes, including a runner-up result at the 2025 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club.
