“Jumping like you’ve never jumped in your life”: Travis Kelce gets brutally honest after Jason Kelce embarrasses himself in front of Caitlin Clark

Jason Kelce took up a 30-day dunking challenge on his New Heights podcast in the first week of December. 25 days later, the former Philadelphia Eagles center showed a clip of his dunking attempt to WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark and his brother, Travis Kelce, on the Wednesday episode of the show.

The Super Bowl LII champion sprinted towards the bucket and made an awkward jump to attempt a dunk. The ball hit the rim and eventually went in, but both Clark and Travis burst out laughing. Later in the video, Jason asked the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end about his chances of making a dunk after seeing the video evidence.

“Further away than I thought you were, dude. I’m not gonna lie, man, but I will say this, you were jumping like you’ve never jumped before in your life,” Travis said. “No, you look like a baby deer jumping like. You’re very uncoordinated. We need to get you into like, the good gather step, into the power jump with two right now, you don’t have the right mechanics.” (42:58)

Jason Kelce asked for advice to improve his technique, and Clark shared some tips with the former NFL star. However, she admitted that she can’t dunk either. The Indiana Fever guard said she can probably grab the rim, but is nowhere close to dunking. She is satisfied with her ability to shoot 3s.

Jason Kelce reveals his major issue while dunking

Jason Kelce opened up about the biggest hurdle in his dunking journey. The former Philadelphia Eagles center believes his jumping technique is holding him back from reaching his goals.

“I can’t jump off of one foot to save my life,” Kelce said. “I’m a better two-foot jumper. I can’t jump off of one foot. I’m going to tear my Achilles.”

Caitlin Clark argued that it is technically easier to dunk off jumping off of one foot than two feet. Travis Kelce added that one can drive that other knee up, which helps in elevation. Jason said his ankle hurts if he tries to jump off of one leg. The Eagles legend received more giggles when he asked if he could dunk in a few weeks.
