Justin Thomas provided a major update about his health ahead of the start of the 2026 season. The American golfer underwent surgery back in November and has since been away from the greens. He has also missed the first two matchups of the TGL Season 2.

On Wednesday, the former PGA Championship winner shared a video of himself taking a shot on his Instagram account and provided an update about his health. He wrote:

“Feels nice to *slowly* work my way back. Happy to be back out chipping and putting!”

In the last few weeks, despite being away from the field, Justin Thomas has kept his fans updated about his recovery journey. Last month, a fan asked him on X (formerly Twitter) about his health update.

In response, the American golfer said that he was doing “pretty well” but was “away from hitting the golf balls.” But finally, this week, he seems to be getting better and started with his practice ahead of the start of the 2026 PGA Tour season.

Although Justin Thomas has not played in the first two games of the Atlanta Drive GC in the TGL, he made sure to cheer for his team off the field. The TGL team has started the new season with a win and then, in week 3, won their second game of the season, which also marked their seventh straight victory. Thomas shared a post on his Instagram story, cheering for the team.

Justin Thomas recaps his 2025 season in a heartfelt post

Justin Thomas shared a slew of pictures about his 2025 season on his Instagram account. He shared several snaps with a sweet caption. He wrote:

“From off the course and on, here’s 2025 in some of my favorite/most meaningful pictures. Very grateful!”

In the last slide of his post, Thomas added a hilarious picture of himself with his daughter. Along with that, he added a few snaps of him playing golf, while some off-field outing pictures.

The 2025 season has been pretty notable for Justin Thomas. He started the campaign with a T26 finish at The Sentry and then was dominant at The American Express, where he started the game with an opening round of 67 and then played the next three rounds of 64, 68, and 66 and settled in solo second place.

He was again close to a win at the Valspar Championship but finished runner-up. Thomas had finally won the RBC Heritage in the last season, while some of his other notable finishes are T2 at the Truist Championship and T9 at the Travelers Championship.

His last outing was at the Procore Championship, where he carded rounds of 72, 70, 72, and 75 and settled in 69th place.
