Charley Hull didn’t sugarcoat her performance after recently playing a round with PGA Tour star Jason Day. The English golfer joked about her form and said she didn’t even bring her “C game” to the course.
Hull appeared in the latest episode of The Lads Golf, a YouTube channel with over 142,000 subscribers. The video is part of their new series Tour Tuesday and was released on January 9, 2026. In the episode, Hull joined Day for a round at Tiburon Golf Club.
Reacting to a promotional clip from their appearance together Hull shared an honest take on how she played.
“I didn’t have my A, B, or even C game 🙈 this day I think it was my Z game 🤣”

In the promo video, Day introduced Hull to viewers with a light-hearted comment about her style.
“We have something special today. You obviously know me from my Malbon outfits, but I think I’ve got someone today on the episode that dresses a little bit better. Actually, I know she dresses better than me. We have Charley Hull on the channel today. So look out for that, and it’s going to be a good one,” Day said.
The mention of Malbon ties into both players’ off-course partnerships. Day joined the Los Angeles-based brand in January 2024 ending his long association with Nike and becoming Malbon’s first PGA Tour ambassador.
Hull also signed with Malbon in 2024. The brand, known for its streetwear style golf clothing has continued to grow in popularity with former LIV golfer Anthony Kim also reportedly joining the label.
Charley Hull looks back on 2025 season
Charley Hull reflected o n her 2025 season during her appearance on The Lads Golf, where she spoke about her form, injuries and overall progress. When Jason Day asked how the year went, Hull said:
“I had a really good season to be fair. I came out obviously second with the British Open, and managed to get a win in as well after that, coming back from an injury. I’ve been pretty consistent…I’ve been finishing pretty much top 20 at every week.”
Day praised her consistency especially given the setbacks she faced. Hull then explained how one of her injuries happened.
“I was playing golf when that injury happened. It was a week after the British Open, and I was at a car park at the Centurion, and yeah, just fell over. It was pretty crazy.”
When Day asked if she was fully recovered, Hull replied:
“The ankle’s fine, but the back’s still rehabbing that.”
Despite those challenges Charley Hull put together a strong season. She climbed to No. 5 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings and claimed her third LPGA Tour title at the Kroger Queen City Championship.
She made 16 starts in 2025 and missed only two cuts. Hull also posted four top-10 finishes and stayed in contention at several major events. Her best results included a tied-fourth finish at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, a runner-up showing at the AIG Women’s Open and another fourth-place finish at the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. She ended the year with a second-place finish at the Grant Thornton Invitational.
Health issues slowed her down at times. Charley Hull withdrew from the Evian Championship after collapsing while battling a virus and later pulled out of the PIF London Championship due to an ankle injury. Still, she returned to competition and closed the season on a strong note.
