Jon Rahm opened up about the underrated golfers on the LIV Golf in a recent interview on Golf Subpar. The Spanish golfer is enjoying some time away from the field these days and appeared on a recent episode of the popular golf podcast, in which he opened up about his journey in the Saudi league.
He was asked to name the three LIV players he believes are “underrated.” In response, Rahm named Dean Burmester, David Puig, and Joaquin Niemann. He talked about the golfers’ performances. Rahm said:
“I think Dean Burmester gets a little bit underappreciated. But just seeing him, he’s such a good player, especially when things get tricky. He can hit it low; he’s really good in the wind……..
“I still think somehow Joaquin is underrated. Um, yeah, the major championships have been a little bugaboo for him. Yeah, he hasn’t played his best, but I mean, what I’ve seen the last two years out of him — he’s played a lot of rounds. He wins that many times; it’s good, yeah. Well, seven times in 28 starts in LIV — sorry, in 26. It’s decent. And then I’m going to put somebody we all know. I’m going to put David Puig in there,” he added.
Joaquin Niemann has been impressive with his game on LIV Golf in 2025. He won five tournaments last season, including Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, Virginia, and the United Kingdom events. David Puig won the 2025 BMW Australian PGA Championship in November, while Dean Burmester also won the LIV Golf Chicago event in 2025. He finished runner-up in the Hong Kong event.
Jon Rahm hilariously suggests his fellow Ryder Cup teammate to a hair transplant company
Following his appearance on Golf Subpar, a Turkish hair transplant company, Esthetic Hair Turkey, reached out to Jon Rahm for a potential collaboration.
The company DM’d the Legion XIII captain on Instagram. Rahm shared a screenshot of the message andhis hilarious reply on his Instagram story on Thursday. The Spanish golfer humorously suggested his European Ryder Cup teammates Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry to the hair transplant company.
“Hey guys! Thanks so much for reaching out. I think I’ve got a few more years before I need to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, I’d be happy to connect you with two friends of mine… Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry,” Rahm said.
Jon Rahm shared the screenshot of his reply to the transplant company on his Instagram story with a laughing emoji.
Meanwhile, on the field last season, Jon Rahm had several notable finishes but struggled to win any event. He was the runner-up at the Riyadh, Andalucia, and Chicago events, as well as Indianapolis.
Aside from that, Rahm also played on the DP World Tour tournaments and was tied for 13th at the BMW PGA Championship and T9 at the Open de España event. He also played in the majors and was particularly impressive at the PGA Championship, where he finished T8, and the U.S. Open, where he settled for T7.
