5 veteran golfers eligible to follow Vijay Singh’s money list exemption to PGA Tour ft. Matt Kuchar

PGA Tour veteran Vijay Singh is back on the circuit at the Sony Open in Hawaii. The 62-year-old, who is sixth on the career money list, has taken the money exemption for the 2026 season.

Under PGA Tour exemption rules, top-50 ranked players on the career money list can receive a full-season exemption once in their career. While Singh has chosen 2026, here is a look at the five top names eligible to do the same in the future.


5 veteran PGA Tour stars eligible to money list exemption

1) Matt Kuchar

Matt Kuchar missed just two cuts in eighteen starts during the 2025 season, but only one top-ten finish resulted in him losing his card for 2026. The 47-year-old golfer is currently 13th on the official money list with earnings of $61,538,738.


2) Zach Johnson

Zach Johnson had a difficult 2025 season, missing a total of nine cuts in seventeen starts. As a result, the former US Ryder Cup captain lost his PGA Tour card after finishing 123rd in the FedEx Cup.

Johnson is currently eligible for the Masters and The Open Championship, but he could earn exemptions into other events by using his one-time exemption option. For reference, he is currently 17th on the official money list with earnings of $49,971,351.


3) Steve Stricker

Steve Stricker has not played on the PGA Tour since the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2024. While he is enjoying success on the PGA Tour Champions, he could opt to return to the Tour as he is 23rd in the career money standings with $44,936,354.


4) Stewart Cink

Stewart Cink made 16 Tour starts in 2024 but did not earn his card after finishing 173rd in the standings. Last season he was active on the Senior Tour and bagged three wins. However the 52-year-old golfer can still choose to play a full season on the Tour once as he is currently 24th with earnings of $43,905,340.


5) Luke Donald

Luke Donald played six events on the Tour in 2025 and missed the cut in five of them. He played five events on the Euorpean Tour and made just one cut. The two time Ryder Cup winning captain is currently 33rd on the official money list with earnings of $37,713,594.
