Anthony Kim has a good chance to re-enter the LIV Golf. The American golfer returned to playing golf after a decade-long break in 2024. He competed on the LIV Golf but struggled with his game and was relegated from the circuit in 2025.
He is looking forward to regaining his spot on the series and playing this week at the LIV Golf Promotions 2026. He tied for second place after the Saturday round in the event. Notably, the top 3 players in the LIV Golf Promotions event after Sunday’s round will secure their spot in the league.
Anthony Kim will tee off for the final round of the LIV Golf Promotions, just two strokes behind the leader, and has a good chance to earn the spot.
Kim has qualified for the second round of the LIV Golf Promotions event and teed off for the event on Friday. He played a round of 69 on Friday and settled in the top 20 on the leaderboard, and secured his spot for the final two rounds over the weekend. In the Saturday round, he carded a bogey-free round to settle in a tie for second place with Jazz Janewattananond and Oliver Bekker.
Anthony Kim opens up about his performance at LIV Golf Promotions 2026

Anthony Kim carded a bogey-free round on Saturday at the LIV Golf Promotions 2026. He carded a birdie on the ninth hole and then three more birdies on the 13th, 14th, and 16th holes.
In the post-round press conference, the American golfer opened up about his performance and also his approach for the final round of the event. He said (via ASAP Sports):
“I’ve never played in a qualifier for three spots, so I don’t know how to do it. But I’m just going to do what I’ve been doing: Give myself as many opportunities as I can, get aggressive when I can, and hopefully the putts fall tomorrow.”
Speaking of playing a bogey-free round, he said (via ASAP Sports):
“It was a big deal for me mentally. I knew that I was bogey-free, and I needed to make that 15-footer. Took a little bit more time to grind on it and hit a great putt, and luckily it went in.”
Meanwhile, Richard T. Lee took the lead in the game after the Saturday round at 6-under. He is also in contention to earn the LIV Golf card.
Anthony Kim had played two seasons in the LIV Golf before he was relegated from the circuit. It would be interesting to see if he could secure his spot again on the circuit for the 2026 season. The new LIV Golf season will start next month in Riyadh.
