PGA Tour winner Michael Kim took a jibe at Greg Norman for his remarks about his loyalty to the PGA Tour. The Australian golfer, who won 20 tournaments on the tour, served as the CEO of LIV Golf from its inception until last year. He stepped down from the position last year and was replaced by Scott O’Neil.

Norman appeared in this week’s episode of “The Big Swing with Jimmy Roberts”, released on Jan. 14, in which he talked about the LIV Golf and also reflected on his opinion about the PGA Tour series, stating that he remains “loyal” to the circuit.

His comments were shared by Nuclr Golf on its X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday with a caption:

“#PLEDGING LOYALTY — Former LIV Golf commissioner Greg Norman says he remains ‘loyal’ to the PGA Tour: “Because I, I’m very, believe it or not, I’m still loyal to the PGA Tour because of, I’m a lifetime member of the PGA Tour…”

“So this notion that I hate the PGA Tour is not true…. The notion, the true factor is that I respect, I’m loyal, and I do, and I love the fact that I’m a lifetime member of the PGA Tour.” “I love the fact that I’ve helped the PGA Tour to some degree because of LIV elevated itself.”

Michael Kim reacted to it in the comments section. He humorously asked X’s AI Grok the definition of “loyalty.”

“@grok what’s the definition of loyalty?” he wrote.

Notably, Greg Norman enjoyed an amazing time playing on the PGA Tour before. He also played on the Champions Tour and then joined LIV Golf in 2022.

The breakaway series attracted top-ranked PGA Tour golfers such as Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Cam Smith, and many others.

Recently, Brooks Koepka returned to the PGA Tour after exiting LIV Golf.

Greg Norman opens up about Brooks Koepka’s decision to leave LIV Golf

In the latest episode of “The Big Swing with Jimmy Roberts” podcast, Greg Norman also opened up about Brooks Koepka’s decision to leave LIV Golf. He said that he was “intrigued” by it and was also “surprised.”

“I was intrigued by it as well,” Norman said (timestamp: 15:56). “I knew Brooks very, very well. I spent a lot of time with Brooks understanding team value in Smash, and how to build it and where to go. Brooks was very engaged on how to understand how to build that value. So I was surprised to be honest with you.”

Brooks Koepka was one of the earliest joiners of LIV Golf and enjoyed success in the league. He won five tournaments in four seasons but struggled in 2025, following which he announced his exit from the league.

He is gearing up to play at the Farmers Insurance Open to kick-start the 2026 campaign on the PGA Tour later this month. Meanwhile, LIV Golf is also gearing up for the start of the new season, which will kick off next month in Riyadh.
