
C.J. Stroud had a disastrous showcase during the Houston Texans 28-16 loss to the New England Patriots in the divisional playoff game. This loss ended their hopes of competing for a Super Bowl.
After the game, former Texans star J.J. Watt was disappointed with the outcome of the game. In a tweet he shared on X, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year congratulated thePatriots for the win while sharing his unfiltered thoughts on his former team’s performance.
“Tough. Just put ourselves in a hole too many times to climb out of. What an incredible turnaround Vrabel and the Patriots have accomplished this year. Thoroughly impressive,” Watt wrote

The Texans had managed to secure a 10-7 lead heading into the second quarter. However, C.J. Stroud failed to remain consistent, which played a part in the team’s offensive downfall. He had four total interceptions heading into halftime, while the Patriots made a comeback to secure a 21-10 lead.
In the second half, C.J.Stroud did not score any touchdowns as the Texans found the scoreboard thanks to two field goals from Ka’imi Fairbairn. But Drake Maye’s 32-yard passing touchdown in the fourth quarter sealed the win for the Patriots.
C.J. Stroud ended the game completing 20 of 47 passes for 212 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions. On the other hand, Drake Maye completed 16 of 27 passes for 179 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.
