Tyrrell Hatton and 10 other LIV Golfers are committed to play at the upcoming Dubai Desert Classic. The English golfer is preparing to defend his title at the DP World Tour event this week.
The tournament will start with its first round on Thursday, January 22, and will have its finale on January 25 at the Emirates Golf Club. Hatton started his 2025 campaign at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic with a remarkable win and will return to play in 2026 as well.
The event also features other LIV golfers, including Patrick Reed, Dustin Johnson, David Puig, Laurie Canter, Victor Perez, Joaquín Niemann, and Tom McKibbin. Along with them, Thomas Detry and Elvis Smylie, who have joined the Saudi league ahead of the 2026 season, will also be playing in the DP World Tour event this week. Andrew Meronk is also scheduled to tee off in the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
Notably, last week on the DP World Tour, players competed at the Dubai Invitational. The tournament featured the likes of Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, along with some LIV golfers such as David Puig, Patrick Reed, and Tom McKibbin.
Puig had a remarkable run and carded rounds of 67, 72, 70, and 67 and settled in a tie for third place with Lowry, McIlroy, and Julien Guerrier. Nacho Elvira registered a win in the event.
Last year at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Tyrrell Hatton started his campaign with an opening round of 71 and then played rounds of 65, 68, and 69 to register a win in the event. He had an amazing season last year, and it will be interesting to see how things unfold for the Englishman in 2026.
