It showed the mailbox filled handmade letters from fans, wishing Nix a fast recovery. Denver coach Sean Payton revealed that the quarterback suffered it in overtime of the divisional round matchup.

“On the second to last play in overtime, Bo fractured a bone in his right ankle,” Payton said in the postgame presser. “He’s scheduled to have surgery Tuesday of this week, which will put him out for the rest of the season.”

“I snuck this picture because I wanted to remember this moment forever. The joy, followed by the heartbreak, followed by watching each teammate and coach come to this little corner and sit by Bo’s side. God could have placed us anywhere, and I’m so grateful He chose Denver,” Izzy wrote.
