The Atlanta Falcons hired former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski as their new HC on Sunday. Following his arrival in Atlanta, Stefanski has roped in a familiar face at his new team.

According to latest reports, the Falcons have hired former Browns offensive line coach Bill Callahan on Tuesday. The decision comes in the wake of Stefanski retaining defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.

Callahan served as the Browns’ OL coach from 2020 to 2023 under Stefanski. However, he joined the Tennessee Titans in 2024 to serve under Brian Callahan, who was hired as their head coach.

The 69-year-old will replace Dwayne Ledford in Atlanta after leaving his role with the Titans following Brian’s firing in October last year. The veteran coach has spent decades in the league, coaching nine different teams during his NFL career.

Callahan is expected to be joined by another former Browns staff member in Atlanta as Stefanski is reportedly looking to bring Cleveland offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to the Falcons.

NFL analyst labels Falcons’ unit as “best offensive group” for Kevin Stefanski

Kevin Stefanski, who was voted the NFL Coach of the Year twice during his stint with the Browns, faced the axe after consecutive losing seasons. NFL analyst Ben Solak weighed in on Stefanski’s arrival in Atlanta this week.

“The tools in the toolbox were never great with the Browns, and the Falcons are betting that Stefanski’s reputation as a strong offensive mind will bear more fruit in Atlanta, where Drake London, Robinson and (potentially) Kyle Pitts Sr. represent the best offensive group Stefanski has ever worked with.”

“Hiring head coaches immediately after they were let go elsewhere can be a risky option — at times, those coaches are just burned out — but I’d bet Stefanski has plenty to prove given how things unfolded in Cleveland.”

Much of Stefanski’s 2025 season with the Browns was overshadowed by controversy surrounding the quarterback room, featuring Shedeur Sanders. It’ll be interesting to see how the former Browns coach manages his Falcons players.
