Lamar Jackson’s trade rumors picked up steam after his recent activity on social media. On X, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback retweeted a post that claimed to have predicted his move to the Las Vegas Raiders.

“Is this a good time to point outt my (then) 3 year old MAY have predicted the potential move of @Lj_era9 to the Raiders?” the post read.

The post also included a kid wearing Jackson’s No.8 Ravens jersey. This retweet gained steam, raising questions about the quarterback’s future with the franchise.

However, Lamar Jackson later provided a clarification, shutting down the idea of being traded to the $7.7 billion-valued (as per Forbes) Raiders.

“Lol I just posted the kid in the jersey didn’t even read the caption.”

The Ravens drafted Jackson with the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. In eight years, the two-time NFL MVP has made six playoffs with the team but has yet to compete for the Super Bowl. This season, Jackson’s on-field performance took a hit due to multiple injuries.

He missed a total of four games because of a hamstring injury and a back contusion. Apart from this, the quarterback also missed several weeks of practice as the Ravens finished second in the AFC North while failing to qualify for the playoffs. Jackson played in 13 total games while recording 2,549 yards and 21 TDs passing.

After the disappointing 2025 campaign, the Ravens decided to fire coach John Harbaugh after 18 years. On Thursday, they announced ex-Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as his replacement.

Danny Parkins share his thoughts on Jesse Minter becoming new coach of Lamar Jackson and the Ravens

After the Ravens announced Jesse Minter as their new coach on Thursday, analyst Danny Parking came forward to share his thoughts on the situation.

On Thursday’s episode of “First Things First,” he stated that this is a good opportunity for Minter to begin his head coaching career as he gets the chance to work alongside two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.

“The Ravens have, I think more talents than the Chargers do on the defensive side of the ball,” Parkins said. “It’s a great job opening. To be able to coach 29-year-old 2x MVP Lamar Jackson and have it be your first job as a head coach, it’s just a premium gig for a first gig.”

Minter was a part of John Harbaugh’s coaching staff from 2017 to 2020. He then transitioned to collegiate football before joining the Chargers as their defensive coordinator in 2024.
