The Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers sent shockwaves across the NBA after a blockbuster trade deal saw James Harden join the Cavaliers while the Clippers received Darius Garland and a second-round draft pick.
The blockbuster trade also caught the attention of Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby. The Raiders star reacted to the 2018 NBA MVP joining Donovan Mitchell in Cleveland.
“Sheesh!! LFG,” Crosby captioned his Instagram story after the trade.

Harden, who declined a player option from the Clippers last year, signed two-year, $81.5 million contract in June. Harden was acquired by the Clippers in a mega trade deal in 2023 that involved P. J. Tucker, Filip Petrušev, Marcus Morris Sr., Nicolas Batum, Kenyon Martin Jr. and Robert Covington.
Meanwhile, Maxx Crosby has been linked with a move away from the Raiders after a diassapointing 2025 season. NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman urged the San Francisco 49ers to sign Crosby and Myles Garrett in the offseason.
“First of all, the mentality has to be passed down, but you need the players. If I’m the 49ers this offseason, I’m going to take a run at Myles Garrett; I’m taking a run at Maxx Crosby,” Merriman told NBC Sports. “I’m taking a run at these guys because they’re an instant upgrade.”
