Justin Thomas isn’t playing at the WM Phoenix Open 2026, but he has had a fair share of memories at the event. He recently shared an anecdote from one of his appearances when he made a double bogey and was hurled boos.

Thomas is a 16-time winner on the PGA Tour and has been a regular fixture at the WM Phoenix Open. The ace golfer is not competing this week as he is still recovering from the surgery he recently underwent.

On Saturday, February 7, the 32-year old golfer shared a hilarious story regarding his embarrassing putt at the iconic 16th hole.

“I once hit the green on 16 at the WM Phoenix Open on a Saturday and 4 putted for a double… after making an 8 on the previous hole, I can confirm you can’t want to get off that hole fast enough and the boos (rightfully so) are on another level 🤣”

Thomas hasn’t been active on the PGA Tour for a few months now, as he underwent a microdiscectomy in the off-season. He was last seen at the TGL match between Jupiter Links and Atlanta Drive GC, where he came to support his team.

Last year, the two-time major champion had an impressive season where he made multiple top-ten finishes. Besides that, he also ended his title drought and claimed the RBC Heritage in 2025.
