ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith has shared some similar sentiments to U.S. President Donald Trump about Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl 60 halftime show. Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny performed his entire 14-minute set in Spanish at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.
When Trump caught wind of Bad Bunny’s halftime show, he slammed the singer’s performance on Truth Social, calling it a “slap in the face” to America. Smith agreed with some of Trump’s views when he discussed Bad Bunny’s halftime performance on the “Mad Dog Sports” radio show on Monday afternoon.
“He does have a point when he alludes to the ‘mess of a halftime show, will get great reviews from the fake news media.’ You’re gonna have people that are gonna be raving about the halftime show simply because they want to be anti-Trump and anti-right and all of this other stuff,” Smith said. “That ain’t me, I don’t give a damn. I’m fair-minded, down the middle. I think it was a damn good show. I think the vibe was fly.”
Stephen A. Smith also said that not many in the U.S. might have comprehended Bad Bunny’s entire 14-minute set in Spanish.

“Here’s my only reticence, you’re in the United States of America and you perform damn-near an entire performance in Spanish,” Smith said while also praising the Spanish language. “But if you didn’t understand Spanish, you were lost. And most Americans don’t understand Spanish…It was primarily in Spanish. And if most people don’t understand the lyrics because you’re speaking in what they deem to be a foreign language, that is a legitimate point the president made.”
Bad Bunny’s halftime show featured guest performances from other musicians, including Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Karol G and Jessica Alba were among other celebrities who made cameos at the event.

ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith predicted Patriots loss at Super Bowl 60

When the Patriots and Seahawks were confirmed to play this year’s Super Bowl two weeks ago, Stephen A. Smith predicted that New England would lose the big game.
“I’m sleeping on them, big time,” Smith said of the Patriots on ESPN’s “First Take. “Y’all ain’t winning the Super Bowl. I’m telling you to your face right there, as a New England Patriot — you ain’t winning the Super Bowl, OK. You ain’t beating Seattle.
“Right now, the New England Patriots — listen, it was a nice run. It was really, really nice. It’s going to be a competitive Super Bowl, I have no doubt, because the New England Patriots defense is real. I’ve got big time questions about your offense.”
