Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III played an important role in helping his team beat the New England Patriots 29-13 in the Super Bowl on Sunday. The RB posted 135 yards on 27 carries, while adding 26 yards on two catches to win the MVP award in the big game. During their Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, Seahawks general manager John Schneider said in public that he began negotiating Walker’s potential contract extension with the player at the event.

“Ken Walker being the MVP, let’s go!” Schneider yelled to nearly a million fans at the parade celebration. “He tried negotiating with me five minutes ago. It was really weird. Anyway. hey, M-V-P! M-V-P!”

However, when Walker caught wind of the video showing Schneider discussing his potential contract extension details, he shared it on his IG story and addressed the speculation.

“Must’ve been da liquor he drinking cuz I never said dat shi!” Walker wrote on his IG story, followed by two laughing emojis.

The Seahawks took Walker in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. He signed a reported four-year, $8,441,581 rookie contract with them.

As things stand, Walker is set to become a free agent this offseason. However, there is a big chance that he signs a lucrative extension with Seattle.

Walker finished the 2025 regular season with 1,027 yards and five touchdowns on 221 attempts, along with 282 yards on 31 receptions. He helped the Seahawks win the NFC West and earn the top seed in the conference.
